So it could be inferred...
January is our "11"

Jan used to be the 11th month of the year.
11.4 = January 4?

The green meteors you mentioned a bit ago are beginning to make an appearance, just had one reported over the St. Louis Arch, and I saw one with my own eyes a couple weeks back at the beginning of December.
