Not right away. The US will run the country. Meanwhile a purge will take place in the military and law enforcement and judiciary to remove and replace Muduro’s people (and Cubans). She would have less than zero control until that happens.
I had envisioned the U.S. or special U.S. contractor in conjunction with the U.S. government running Venezuela for a while to put their train back on the track properly. I hope the Trump Team has a comprehensive food plan. The people are hungry. Feed them and you lock in their support. Even though Trump didn’t directly say it, he was not just talking about oil. He was also talking about gold. Some of that gold will go to our stockpile.

Trump seems to like her, but doesn't seem to have confidence that she will be able to consolidate enough backing to take charge.
This would be the likely solution, but correct me if I am wrong but I think I distinctly heard Trump mention in his press conference that he had not been in contact with Machado and also said she is not in a position to take over since she doesn't have the support.

I remember when the latest "election" was held and Machado definitely had the support of the bulk of the anti-Maduro citizenry.

If she does not take over straight away and has to stand for election she does not look like a puppet and will not be held to account for what might be a messy transition period. USA will take the heat and then stablise and hand over.
