You should check out this guy on X who goes by KalebPrime.

He is Venezuelan, and years ago personally documented how bad things had gotten. It got to the point that he had to sell World of Warcraft gold to survive, if I recall, because a video game currency of infinite supply was somehow MORE stable than Venezuela's hyperinflation.

He has since managed to flee the country and now lives in Italy.
