Yes. She put herself into that situation by trying to obstruct the movement of these officers that were attempting to leave the area because of the tense situation. She made the choice to try and bolt in order to remove herself when it was apparent that they were probably going to take her into custody. She gunned her vehicle trying to leave. People try to run from the cops all the time and it usually doesn't end well for them.
This clip that CNN is showing is probably the worst one I have seen out there. You really cannot see the event well from that angle. But other clips I saw were closer and show the driver's side of the vehicle. The officers had the driver's side door of the car partially open in an attempt to try and remove her from the vehicle when she decided to speed off with an officer close enough to be hit. It appeared that she did hit the officer that shot her. It was reported that some officers were injured. The officer was not standing directly in front of the vehicle but more in the area of the driver's side front headlight while observing two other officers trying to enter the vehicle. You cannot see that using this CNN camera angle. The video is of poor quality, too far away, and from a bad angle to really show what happened. Of course the media is going to use this version that doesn't give a good perspective. There are better videos out there.
I wonder how this will affect the recruitment of "protestors"? I understand there is already a labor shortage of "fishing boat" pilots. This situation is starting to look similar.
They've gotten away with this crap for so long they feel immune to consequences. FAFO the person/persons funding this BS have blood on their hands, they should be arrested.
"When they said GET OUT OF THE FUCKING VEHICLE, she should've listened, immediately. But, she didn't."

FAFO
It would have worked if she was black.
