Don't ever be sorry about loving pitbulls. They are the most misunderstood dog on the planet. I know. My Max made it to his fifteenth birthday- he is so desperately missed. My husband rescued him before he was drowned as a pup for not being big enough. Everyone in the neighborhood knew him and loved him. He guarded my grandchildren like they were his. They WERE his. He'd get a scent print on each kid as they came. There was nothing /no one that could get through him to them. He wouldn't kill but he'd stop who/whatever the threat was.
I just love to squeeze their muscles. LOL
Yes, they are very protective and very calm. I have a Rottweiler now and he is so sweet but you cannot get to me but thru him.

You ain't gonna win this argument, people love their pit bulls for some stupid reason. They are 6 times more likely to attack a human than a Rottweiler. I've always had Rottweilers and have a Rottweiler/Shepard mutt currently. I have pictures of me in diapers riding the family Doberman like a jocky. A Rottweiler, Doberman or Shepard will attack a human when they're doing something they shouldn't be doing. Try and hit a woman around my dog or break into my truck and my dog will be a statistic.
Ptts and wolf mixes will turn on a human for no reason sometimes. My classmate's little brother got mauled by their family Pitt, spent all middle school getting reconstructive surgery. My mom had a Pitt, he was a decent dog but he couldn't be trusted with children. I had a Boa that was a very nice snake but I didn't let him hang out in the chicken coop. If you're a big guy get a pittbull for your junkyard, if you're a 90lb woman don't get one and keep you children away from them.

Great, now I have to worry about my dog snitching on me when I won't let him in my bed or let him go for a ride in the truck.
