If the reports of the silver shorts is accurate, it will have the opposite affect. There's no way for Mexico, or even all countries combined to produce what isn't physically in existence.
It would only do them any good for whatever amount of time it takes other countries to ramp up production and China could probably do that real fast. It’s also probable that Mexico will have trouble making deliveries while in a potential narco war with America.
It’s all a complicated situation with allot of variables. However, It would probably be Peru. They have the world’s largest silver reserves at 110,000 metric tons in contrast to Mexicos 37,000.
It would probably be better to assume a countries wealth by its obtainable reserves rather than its production.
