Hey Joe, just do what I do and change the 'x.com' in the URL to 'nitter.poast.org' and it will open up the page with all the comments.
If I want to watch a video on X, I leave the 'x.com' in the URL, because Nitter usually either won't play the video or if it does, it is slow.
And then, when I want to read all the comments below a post, I go up to the web address and switch out the letters the the Nitter letters. It's a pain, but it does work. I do it all the time.
