Watch the documentary called 'China's Ghost Cities' where all of these towns are just abandoned with no people. They speak of how some industries poisoned the water which caused whole towns to die but no one is allowed to talk about it. But the real culprit was Covid-19.
As you know, you cannot operate in China without your smartphone. You cannot buy anything, take the subway, enter a business, etc. without your smartphone. China is heavily surveilled with cameras everywhere which are supposed to be able to link to your phone so they can identify you at any time. And, they are required. If you can't afford one the government will give you one.
So, an active phone is required to travel, eat, buy or just enter a business.
So, when Chinese news agencies reported that by Feb. 2020, 21,000,000 cell phones stopped transmitting along with 840,000 landlines stopped making calls.
That means at least 21 million Chinese likely died in the first 6 months of Covid-19. We don't know how many died over the next two years, because they stopped reporting the data. See below:
As of April 2020, the Statistics per China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) found this:
The number of cellphone users decreased from 1.600957 billion to 1.579927 billion, a drop of 21.03 million. The number of landline users decreased from 190.83 million to 189.99 million, a drop of 840,000.

That's some crazy numbers.
It's outrageous, is what it is.
