A different clip omits the first 30 seconds, which show that the Patriotic dude was being harassed and assaulted to the point where he realized he had no choice but to retaliate.

Context is everything. This bro showed great restraint and wasn't harming anyone. But then, he was forced in to a place where he had to fight back.
