A tax based on someone's net worth is an unfair tax as some of that value is speculative based on investments. They could be living on 80k a year and suddenly get hit with a tax that eats a year's income?
Then there's the exit tax to hit those trying to leave the state.
Sounds like its just about time for another round of "climate change" induced wildfires in an attempt to get the federal "emergency funds" payments restarted in Cali 🤔
There is no income tax, but the sales tax is quite high at 10%. The property taxes are determined by the Counties and the Cities, where in CA there is a fixed State property tax. My property taxes in Knoxville are as much as they were in CA, because the City charges a property tax and the County charges a property tax.
How can Newscum ever expect to pay all of his illegal voter base if this keeps up?
You may as well throw those "reperations" (that dims always seem to promise just before another election takes place) right out the window....
Heck, he won't even have enough to pay for his hair grease. Which is no small tab.

Comifornia has long since gone full stupid.
Get taxed on your worth on paper then a massive stock market dip hits and you won't get that tax money back when your worth collapsed by half.

Tennessee says: “Give me your harassed, your billionaires, your huddled riches yearning to breathe free.”
Tennessee is open for business and our taxes are quite low, and our state government is run by sane people.
Just need to start thinking about putting a wall around Nashville....
Agreed... and Memphis.

Why live in the city of Knoxville, when you could live out in Knox County? ...or Blount County? ...or Loudon County?
I am looking to move.
