In 2007, Al Gore predicted Arctic sea ice would be gone by 2014.🤡 It is now 2026 and Arctic sea ice extent is still within the same range as when that prediction was made. In fairness, Gore did use some very careful phrasing. He said that a scientist, Wieslaw Maslowski, had said that Arctic ice may well be gone ...

So, he made sure that he was not the source of the statement and that the statement was not absolute. Typical politician. He leaves you with the thought he wanted to convey but never actually said it.
