Fort Knox is not the only location where U.S. gold reserves are held. Other major storage sites include the West Point Mint in New York, which holds over 54 million troy ounces of gold bullion in deep storage, and the Denver Mint in Colorado, storing approximately 43.85 million troy ounces.
Additionally, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York holds a significant amount of gold—around 13.38 million troy ounces of gold bullion and over 73,000 troy ounces of gold coins—though much of this is owned by foreign nations, central banks, and international organizations.
The U.S. Mint also maintains working stock gold (coins, blanks, and miscellaneous items) across various locations, totaling about 2.78 million troy ounces, used for coin production.

FYI I was just browsing and reminiscing when a monster box of 500 silver eagles was only $8500... it's around $52,000 now.... yikes!
