I’m confused as to why they keep putting major labs specializing in infectious diseases in major urban centers. Or population hubs.

You’d think the fiction trope of isolated facility in bumfuck nowhere. And or somewhere easy to isolate in the event of an outbreak or containment breach

It’d be especially pertinent to question why it’s being done at a University whose students would spread to all corners of the country. Not to mention internationally during major breaks like Summer.
