For those who have a hard time understanding Game Therory, let give you an illustration via the movies. The Avengers: Infinity Wars is your tutorial.
Dr. Strange using the time stone gamed every option/scenario of attack/counter attack against Thanos and what resulted was there was only one scenario that would achieve the desired outcome. That scenario allowed Thanos to do what Thanos intended to do with the infinity stones which was to depopulate the universe by 50% (sound familiar?). In order for the Avengers to win the war, they had to loose the battle which was the one scenario that allowed the ultimate win. That is Game Theory.
Yes, I also like to use the Fantastic Beasts the crimes of Grindelwald. At the beginning each member of the group was given a task, but no one else in the room knew what the other's task was. The purpose was to not allow the enemy to know the plan and be confused. (Spoiler) One of the members joined the enemy side and we didn't know until the end that his task was to be a double agent. This is the purpose of game theory, to keep the enemy confused and away from the true plan.
