A massive solar flare event is happening, with a prediction of impressive northern lights tonight, possibly as far south as Alabama. These events are known to cause problems for electronic communications, but a total blackout is not likely. However, such an event would be an excellent excuse for an orchestrated blackout to occur, to allow a lot of things to happen without radio, television, telephone, or internet "interference" in whatever operations might be happening. :)

Interesting how the media can move a peaceful soul to rage. At least I am awake enough to recognize the manufacturing process. Rage is a dangerous emotion. I refuse to employ it.

THIS IS ONE SCREED THAT NEEDS TO BE READ BY ALL... I came to the same conclusion as of yesterday and even more so today... ALL of it is being "manufactured" for reasons that are ONLY KNOWN to the ones who are doing it... If you see "Northern Lights" coming from the East... that's not solar flares hitting our earth's magnetic field and atmosphere.
That's Iran's leadership getting lit up by the U.S. military.

We did get a delta yesterday on Storm Coming Warning.
The solar flare was only an X 1.9, not that big of a deal. We've had a lot of flares that size and larger in the years since I started getting notifications by email. Now if it was X 40, I'd be very worried.

It was pretty amazing in Europe, but didn't seem to pan out here in U.S. The early prediction was for max around midnight, but it ended up having maximums around 7pm EST, and then dropped to a low around midnight, and then went back up to another max around 4am. I went outside at about 11:30 and didn't see any sign of it happening in southern NY, so went to bed. People even south of where I live in NY were reporting that they saw it around that 7pm time frame, but I wonder if they just saw streetlights :)
