“…. nobody said a word in that direction but wyomiles…”.
Are we supposed to pretend this is true? Please don’t tell us you “missed” those two below as you made your above proclamation. “Gosh, we dindu nuthin’, dint say nuthin’. “. Yeah, no. Not pretending along with you. I’m glad wyomiles spoke up to defend boomers as this BS needs to be called out.
Go look closely at that video and try to pretend they were “mostly boomers” - sixty-plus years old.
One last thought - when we “boomers” were young, in college, we, too, had marxist shit professors try to get us to reject our elders, but most of us told them to f-off and the little marxist arseholes learned to shut their mouths where our elders were concerned. We realized there were things our elders did that we didn’t agree with, worked to change those, but we never blanket-blamed our elders for the ills of society. They were up against challenges we didn’t understand, but we knew they did their best to navigate society while under attack from the same evil we’re contending with today, different attacks, different issues, different strategies, but the same humanity-hating, division-promoting minions.
I don’t expect any of our own anti-boomers here to actually understand these concepts or to stop their piss-poor behavior attacking an entire generation, but I hope they understand they diminish only themselves when they choose to embrace division like this. Tiresome like ill-behaved children.

Mostly boomers and women trying to feel important

So a bunch of Women and Old People.
The Boomers are self-explanatory. It allows them to have one last ride before mass internment in nursing homes wondering why their kids rarely call and visit. Allowing them to Pretend they’re still the ‘Counter Culture’ hippies of their Youth that cut their teeth protesting Vietnam and agitating for Civil Rights. And they didn’t grow into an even worse version of the system they claimed to despise.
It’s funny but a lot of times those “someone else’s” show up at great times to try and stoke division. They do that same thing to me fairly often. If you ever see me comment “not my downdoot”, that’s what happened. (The few I actually make are, I feel, fairly obvious)
I didn’t see those two comments, actually (as neither of your comments were in response to them), but let’s all just agree that Karens, especiallyliberal Karens (there actually are conservative Karens) cause problems.
I was also trying to patch over divides, as I have reasonable understanding in, and sympathies to, both experiences, so please feel free to calm down some with regard to this humble(ish) frog, fren.
I’ve been attacked by both, defended both, called out both, and try always to be impartial, avoid labels, be respectful, and come to agreements where they can be found, while doing my best to address misunderstandings and discern the best paths.
Do note that the old hippie protester liberals of the 60’s/70’s looking to relive their youths does seem to be a thing. Referring to them derogatorily does not necessarily need to be understood as extending to the whole.

Or downdoot me, whichever.
It’s certainly your prerogative, but no hostility or derogation intended on my part.
I didn’t downdoot your response; someone else did.
👍 either way, downdootin happens.
