It does. I was able to save the mp4 => all I have to do is rework it back to gif.

Reread my initial post, fren. The trick is to right click on the video. SAVE AS ... not the html but the .mp4.
Any mobile is good for a call or an instant message. If you want more .... embrace the Penguin (Linux) and that brings you to a laptop/desktop.
Goto the nitter.net version (replace x.com with nitter.net)
RIght click the video and select "Copy video address"
