The magazine (or clip) was removed and placed above the barrel; once you can see that it's not attached, the gun looks perfectly ordinary except for the laser sight.
Sig Sauer Handgun. Looks like a P320 maybe with a custom job done on it. Though the custom job means it just as easily be another model. I’m not autistic enough to tell. Potentially it could also be a P226. You can have them custom made to order at a premium. Or buy a pre-done one at an FFL dealer.
But New stock P320 models usually retail for about 600 give or take. A custom job like that would probably easily take it to north of 1K. Couldn’t gauge accurately without knowing what he had done exactly.
If it’s a P226 then he put down some serious cash on it. They’re pricer than the P320s by a mile.
A Sig-brand 3MOA dot like what he’s got stuck on it. The cheaper models run about $200. Though depending on the exact model. That could easily jump as high as $400-500. Though I’d be willing to bet it’s the $200 one.
It’s not a cheap set up as far as concealed carry handguns are concerned.
It’s also being reported now that he was a citizen with a concealed carry permit. Which likely explains the cost of the setup.
Damn. Put some serious scratch down on it. It’s going to be even more ironically amusing then if it was a P320 Accidental Discharge that triggered this whole situation.
This is a custom works Sig P320 built on Sigs website.
Build sheet:
Black FCU, Axg Carry med black frame, Nickel AXG magwell, FDE g10 grip, X Series 4.7 in coyote slide, Full 5.5 threaded barrel, 17 rd legion mags, Romeo3 3moa red dot
In the hands of a guy who didn’t have enough sense to think through the ramifications of bringing a firearm and ammo into an s—t show staged by mentally ill Fellow Travelers harassing heavily armed federal LEO.
Like first officer involved shooting,
Worse, I think.
This guy had enough financial means to spring for a very nice firearm, but lacked the brain cells necessary to carry his paperwork on him or comply with efforts by numerous armed feds to surrender.
Sig 226, enclosed sig red dot, looks brand new never used
This is not a Sig P226, this is a custom P320
320 has a polymer frame? and auto fire trigger group
Most 320s do use a polymer frame however the AXG (this frame) and a legion model use a metal frame. All p320s use a semi auto fire control group.
Gotcha, I'm a Walther man myself. My PPQ's have served me well over the years and don't have the "I hate my owner and want to kill him" feature.
Walter’s are great, and Sig is the first of its kind to add that feature..
Seriously, not a gun fag.
Curious of type, use, etc.
Plus looks like it’s been modded.
Early odds it is unregistered or even “traceable” to some LEO (for added “intrigued.”)
Either way, the immediate reaction from the REEEEEEEE! crowd looks …
Interesting.
That’s a Sig

And… the mag well lip. threaded barrel. the light weight trigger.
Above is link to @DHSgov on X, cannot ‘self link to nitter for non-X’ers, but any help from capable nons appreciated!

You are correct this is an expensive custom p320 build. Over 2k

I thought the same thing,
This is a custom build p320 off their website. This is a common pistol with common mods. I would conceal carry this type of weapon system.

Are these the model LEOs took out of service for accidentally discharging?
Yes, some Departments banned the 320 due to concerns of un commanded negligent discharges
So, “suicide by cop?”
Thanks for the info!
A two-thousand dollar custom gun…

Or recognize he was being played.
