I hope the keep driving south past NC. We have enough transplants here. I see Don’t VA my NC getting as popular as Don’t NY my NC on hats and Tshirts. I’ve seen the same items for other southern states also.
You know a majority of that is fake right? Like the whole "blue state refugees turn other states blue" thing is just a myth the media pushes as an excuse for when they target a new state for fraud. It's statistically provable that people tend to move to states that already hold similar political beliefs to themselves. That's why Texas and Florida, despite being the top two blue state refugee destinations, have gotten REDDER every election. This is gonna sound weird I know, but Colorado, New Mexico, and Oregon are actually the states most liberals move to when they move "out of state" for most of the country. In NE if you have money you might move from NY or NJ to like CT or DE if you can afford it.
Obviously not 100% of people moving to ANY state are of one political persuasion or another, but a statistics indicate a majority of "refugees" tend to match the political ideology of the state they're moving to.
Besides in VA specifically, it was VERY obvious that they cheated in the last election to an absurd degree. Meaning there's nowhere near as many liberals in VA as they'd have you believe in the first place. Outside of NOVA, Virginia is pretty much culturally identical to the surrounding southern states. NOVA is really the armpit of the state and it's NOT The area most refugees will be coming from. Those people up there have basically made a career out of SOME form of federal government contracting, which typically requires them to STAY in NOVA.
TL;DR: You're worrying over nothing and instead SHOULD be worried about fraud since they've targeted NC with it specifically before. How you guys ended up with that gay liberal governor or yours with the very obvious cheating that put him in office, despite every other part of the state government getting redder every election
You make good points. I’m not worried. I rarely worry about something I can’t control. I do like the slogan. Merch with the slogan is popular in areas with less liberal presence. I would never wear anything with it on it. I’m just not the type of person to offend anyone. There are pockets of NC that do have northern transplants. That doesn’t mean they are all liberal. The larger cities are steadily becoming more liberal, not 100% from transplants. Could be the affects of major universities brainwashing the students. We have several major hospitals and universities in the triangle, another possible factor. As far as cleaning up the election process, yes that’s a problem. I’m in a very rural high welfare area. They always vote dem. Then you have liberal areas like Asheville, Charlotte & Triangle is quickly going liberal. We would have had a republican governor if Robinson could keep his mouth shut. He tanked it all by himself. I’m not saying election’s haven’t been stolen here. I never trusted Robinson & I know he didn’t have the black vote in my county. I saw the dem signs daily in the yards.
