Thinking that conservatives will retain the Presidency in the US for the rest of time is just delusional. Even if Trump confirmed the left's worse fears and went full-on dictator, he's 80 years old. There's not enough time to build a cult of personality around the Trump family like the Kim family in North Korea. And there really isn't anyone in politics that has the charisma and magnetism that Trump does to pull it off.
This is the main reason why I try to talk people down when they start going overboard about what Trump should be allowed to do, when it's not allowed by our laws or Constitution. Yeah, it's great and all when it's our guy in the White House. But if Trump is granted some of the things that's been attempted, then future Presidents will be allowed the same/similar things.
And be honest. Who wants to grant a liberal president the legal right to do any of this list? This is a list from some liberal reporter of "crimes" (their claim and their wording) that Trump has expressed the desire to commit that I've seen many people here support him on.
Which is bizarre to me because yeah, many of these violate our laws and the constitution and that doesn't mesh well with Q cautioning that everything had to be done legally.

Ability to ignore or override court rulings

You're conflating self appointed labels with ideological viewpoints. All conservatives/liberals/moderates don't hold the same values. There are plenty of conservatives who don't have any problems with homosexuality and you have liberals who support tossing illegals out of the country. Everyone doesn't check off every typical viewpoint that their group tends to hold.
And then you're ignoring that the largest percentage of people label themselves as moderates, but the majority of them vote with the democrats. Moderates make up ~40% of the population. So the fact that the majority of them routinely vote Democrat is a significant factor in determining if conservatives will have permanent control of this country in the future.
Everything isn't split cleanly between MAGA and liberals. Even fellow conservatives and Republicans side with the liberals on a metric fuck ton of issues.
That's not just going to dissappear.
