A California law forbidding federal law enforcement officers from covering their faces is not enforceable, of course, due to that pesky document called the US Constitution. Stupid law passed by stupid people.
That mask is PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) and necessary in the performance of their duties - no different than a vest, a sidearm, tear gas, baton, etc. Unenforceable.
The LAPD didn't enforce those mandates, either. Some local PDs like Manhattan Beach did enforce them for a while, but LAPD didn't as far as I know. But if a business owner (like Target) set a facemask rule, LAPD would sometimes enforce trespassing charges. The Sheriff (Villalobos) was even better until he got booted.
LA has its crazy, but the PD mostly did alright as long as you stayed off your paddleboard. Kek.
Yeah, I have witnessed that gumshoes on the ground in both police, and local government, tend to have a proportion of principled folk there. And some will not yield to illegal demands from the 'executive upstairs'. This is why any commands need to be fully legal, and then there is no problem. No wishy-washy ideology. At that strata of government, there are less rotten apples per capita, because they are constantly looking up , and reading regulations and laws. The stink rises once one moves up the hierarchy, as those people get infected with pop-management, AKA neo-liberalism. They get promoted to a place they know nothing about, but they hold onto those positions because of the power.
The 'principled disobedience' also demonstrates weak leadership, as Newsom the California Gold-rush baby, who lived with a golden spoon in his well-manicured mouth, has an embarrassing lack of control over 'his' PDs. Not to mention the destructive water management, nor fire safety.
I don't care much for corporations setting 'H&S standards' that are just demonstrably wrong. Unfortunately, the Covid jab-mandates defied all legality, but the sheer weight of propaganda had everyone knee-jerking all over the place, Trained H&S Managers, who would normally look at what was required after evaluating the workplace they are functioning in, suddenly were following orders from Jacinda, not analysing stuff for themselves.
I saw a plan written up in the WEF literature: that they intended to leverage Health and Safety Policies to enforce the 'informal mandate' to be imposed by corporations - Jacinda Ardern was knuckling herself in delight describing how corporations could mete out punishment on individuals - even smearing objectors, and agreeing that there were now two classes of people. It shifted responsibility for criminality, away from her, and onto corporations, for example, McDonalds. And ultimately it was framed as 'your own decision', when one lost one's job. However, such a life-changing event was 'totally not forced'.
The H&S policy tweaks were billed as further to the DEI and SEPs already inserted into 'management literature' (we all know the globohomo art). Because, clearly, Covid is a health and safety issue, so let's gooo.
Illegal mandates force individuals into existential stress, if the 'upright gumshoes' decide to stand up for their principles.
🤣🤣🤣 loving watching Newsom get treated like the little bitch he is. Loved the he didn't get to peacock around and gives his little speech at Davos. He's prancing around screaming "I'm relevant" and just keeps getting bitch slapped. Now his forces are politely saying "you're a dip shit if you think we are going to war with another federal force". He's got to be lit right now. His TDS is going to give him an aneurysm.

Waidaminit. They were full-bore trying to mandate face-covering for EVERYONE, including toddlers, only just a handful of years ago.
Why are they flipflopping? Also, wut?

Make newsom describe what 'enforcing' this BS would look like.
Well he can't enforce it anyway so why not look like "the good guy" while still being a piece of shit.

As if he could.. suddenly in the land of unconstitutional mandates mask are bad.
Cause he can't. Fed trumps state.
