This won’t be a long review, but it was so much better than I was expecting. My friends and I got there early and met the people coming out of the theater from the previous showing. “You’re going to love it”, was said more than once. I will say that it was more of a boomer demographic, not one young person seen.

As we were waiting, a friend read a Buzzfeed post, where they predicted no one would go and that it would be lucky to make $1 million for the first week. It’s already made $8 million.

I am not a huge movie goer, having sworn off Hollywood decades ago when they started spouting off about politics. But the previews were different this time. I wanted to see every movie. Ashe in America said it right - they seem to be creating a bridge to the Gilden Age.

Anyway, the movie is about Melania’s first 20 days in January 2025, culminating in the Inauguration. I was expecting some comms, and didn’t wait long to see the red folder appear and be flaunted in a couple of segments. No, she is not a world leader but there was a message there.

She was shown to be such a classy lady and you just fall in love with her. But I also felt sorry for her - she obviously spends much time apart from her husband.

Much time was spent on finalizing her Inauguration outfit and ball gown. V For Vendetta theme in that outfit was just put front and center as they tweaked it. I would love to know who had the original idea for the outfit, Same for her white and black ball gown, but it got less attention.

All of the women were wondering how she did 22 hours in those heels. I felt I could see her in pain by the end of Inauguration Day.

It was great to relive Inauguration Day via the film.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Plus, as we waited for the ads:previews to start, a lot of people heard this conspiracy theorist talking about Q, Pizzagate, Out of the Shadows, Election Fraud, and much more. A woman I was with runs a local Republican Women’s Club and said, “I thought I knew a lot, but am realizing how much I don’t know. And wow, how much you know.” Keep talking with anyone and everyone and go see Melania!
