I'm sick of hopium. I've never been much of an addict, except for when it came to the opioids the Navy and VA kept insistently feeding me. So, I quit. Cold turkey. And vowed to never be addicted to another substance that would endanger my mental, emotional, and physical well being ever again. Because the withdrawal symptoms were the worst two week period of my life. Going to war wasn't even as bad a battle as that was.
Hopium, like opium, provides a false sense of well being emotionally mentally, and definitely physically. It's a great lie used to calm extremely agitated patients so they don't do something that may harm themselves. But it provides that false sense of well being at a great cost. There's a reason why some idiot anon started calling that false sense of hope, hopium. It's not a coincidence.
And it should be banned on this site.
Enough hopium. Hope without action towards the goal you hope to see is nothing.
It's high passed the time to be demanding concrete results.
