If the Clone Theory is right. Technically then certain people that though they appear to be the same person actually aren’t and are instead different people.
You can’t legally justify imprisoning someone for something that someone else did. Even if technically they are essentially near enough to genetically identical.
Might explain why certain people seem to steadfastly avoid prison consistently. I mean we’ve had the ability to clone Animals for literally decades if not longer. Stands to reason it’s not exactly far fetched they’d continue innovating on the tech in secret and would eventually do it to people.
When the clones commit the same crimes and do the exact same things as the people they replaced do, what would be the point, and why aren't the clones arrested for it?
Building off this theory. You’d have to definitively confirm that they are the same people doing it. Which in part involves determining precisely when any replacement occurred. If one happened at all.
Eyewitness accounts aren’t a guaranteed slam dunk specifically because in this instance. The clone would be near physically identical to the original. So more lengthy investigations would be needed.
Perhaps it works on a Body Double system? The clone handles most public appearances and or potentially dangerous situations. While the original is elsewhere doing the crimes.
Granted this is all under the assumption the Clone Theory is in fact accurate. And isn’t Schizo ramblings.
No doubt that actors, politicians, and so on use body doubles, that's never really been a secret. The clone thing though is a bit too much of a stretch for me. Sometimes a crook is just a crook and with enough $$$ they walk free among us. Sad, but true.
As pointed out in the actual article, its because of the California Wealth Tax they're trying to push for. EVERY billionaire outside of a select few in california is rushing out. Some are heading to Florida, others Texas, others still Washington state, Oreong, or Colorado. Realistically, most of the people have dozens of houses in ALL of these states and more, and they're just changing their legal address for tax purposes since its no longer convenient to stay a california resident. They'll likely spend the minimum time required in whatever their new "home state" is for tax purposes, and then split the rest of their time staying in california or "traveling for business" to other states.

Also true. Sufficient quantities of Money can open a lot of doors, including cell doors, that realistically should remain shut.
What about Alligator Alcatraz?
Florida Folk… You know what to do
Thought he lived in Hawaii?
