I remember, very, VERY explicitly, an extremely distinct uptick in the emotional impact and frequency of severely disruptive stories in 2012 that simply hadn’t existed before that.
This makes perfect sense. Combine that with the notes some people have put out about how the second Obama administration set up a lot of what Trump has done, including DOGE and legal domestic propaganda/psyops.
This has been going on since well before 2012, but it seems safe to say we entered a new phase that year.
