Having spent a lot of time in another Third World country in Central America a few years ago, it seems like some people, some cultures, just seem to favor squalor as a way of life. I don't know if it has to do with collective IQ, or because it's on the hot equator, or genetic inbreeding... I just don't understand why folks living along the equator tend toward squalor.
There is a theory that white people and East Asians have higher IQ’s because of weather. When winter is coming you can’t afford to be lazy. You have to prepare shelter, food etc. and the people who survived harsh winters and weather survived and pro created.
Around the equator it’s hot all the time. Surviving is much easier.
There is a reason “island time” exists in Hawaii. When it’s nice weather 90% of the time you don’t have the sense of urgency to build something fast like you do in a place like Montana.
