Do you find it as funny as I do how I’m always on both sides of the hats argument (believing the answer to be in the middle, but not knowing precisely where), and still agree with you about throwing out premillenial dispensationalism?
A pastor on the radio is constantly going on about (THEATRICAL PREACHER VIBRATTO) THE RAAAAPTSHUUURRE, WHERE WE WILLLLL MEET!! HIM IN THE CLOUDS-AH! and every time I hear it, all I can dream about is telling him how WOEEEEEFULLY underprepared his flock is gonna be (if/when) that RAPTSHURE of his doesn’t happen.
Nearly every seminarian Protestant preacher out there teaches that way, even while admitting that there are at least three theories on what happens and nobody can say conclusively which it might be.
The one that says Christians lose down here or the one that says we win?
No one polishes brass on a sinking ship.
I don't see dispensationalists starting projects that would take over 50+ years while Christians before dispensationalism work starting cathedrals that wouldn't be finished for 200 years.
Dispensationalism is the greatest lie the devil ever interjected into the church.

Nice job, guys.
Which end times view was and is most productive?

Dunno about greatest, but it’s definitely a problem.
I tend to think he’s pulled a few better ones.
