I can’t wait. My local power company is charging me an extra $30/mon for refusing to have a smart meter installed on my home. My complaint with PUCO will probably take years to reach a resolution.
You're lucky you have a choice. I had zero choice here in NC. The city electric company just went around and replaced the meters.
The problem with the smart meters is that they monitor instantaneous usage, meaning they can tell when your a/c kicks on, and probably tell about other electrical devices.
Decades ago, the electric company in my former town mandated that they install controllers on our heating and cooling system so that the city could cut our system off remotely during peak hours. Somehow, the doofus who connected ours didn't do it right, so ours was never shut off a single time.
There is presently a lawsuit by the citizens of Cuyahoga Falls, OH who were forced to get them as mandated by their local government. The suit is currently in a preliminary phase.

Thats a bit too big for a cold fusion/plasmoid power generator, they tend to be small enough to fit into a small van or car.
This looks like a boiler of some sort. It does look as if its a centralised power generator, ie, another scam or disinfo ploy.
