That’s a good one, but it’s not too effective if you have to read subtitles to understand it.The one here is all British and involves their 20th century history. Americans can even understand the message here. Also, the AI makes Amelia seem real while the animation doesn’t pack the same punch.
I said that was my fav (and I didn't need subtitles to understand it either)
My point was, and still is, this has become a cultural /revolutionary meme / icon and there are tons of these being made by countless accounts. The one you linked was already shared here (A different link however) about a month ago.
BTW I was there when the Berlin wall came down. Fun times. Great concert too (Minus the Hoff performance)
Don’t get me wrong. These are good memes, they’re spreading the right message, and it’s something the UK needs right now. But there are degrees of effectiveness and I believe that this one is better than the animated. If this was posted here before, I’m surprised our mods stickied it instead of informing me that this was a duplicate.
Did you notice that you're trying to assert that all types of art and music appeal to everyone else the same way they appeal to you?
That's not remotely logical or realistic. Preference isn't objective, it's subjective.
As I've said already a couple of times and I'll say it just one last time... There are a ton of these being made. Multiple creators. Multiple styles. Just like a Pepe or another meme template.
I'm glad you have your preference but don't say it's objectively better or worse than the rest of the stuff out there, most of which you haven't even seen.
Do you even know where the Amelia meme's started? I think you'd be more than a little surprised.
I realize that that people can have different views on the quality of entertainment which is why I wrote‘I believe’ instead of ‘I know’. However, when it comes to messaging, I have been a judge of effectiveness of communication in the past and I still believe that this one is very effective for the people it’s aimed at.
