I can only guess from what I know of FedEx. Which is a fair amount.
They've outsourced drivers to 3rd party. My son drives for "FedEx", but he's not really a FedEx driver. And he's not paid like one either. No benefits offered that I'm aware of. Much like Amazon drivers.
So if I extend this to what I know about illegals, especially here in NJ where they can obtain a driver's license, I'm going to presume that this move is from a marxist organization that hides behind the FedEx banner while ripping off the country and fucking over American workers.
The tariff suit, as I understand it, is if the consumer fails or refuses to pay it on import, FedEx pays it. That alone doesn't make any sense, but I'm assuming that's what they're going to sue for.
