I don't understand the logistics of FedEx. I got a package several weeks ago from Delaware. It went from DE to NJ to VA and then my house. Last Friday, I got another package (as ordered) from Delaware, but it went from DE to NJ to Memphis, TN to VA and then my house. Why would a package be sent all the way west to Memphis? That seems like a waste of time and money.
I know about the Memphis hub, but I still wonder why one shipment came straight down to me, and the other was sent to Memphis first. That seems a total waste on the second shipment. The shipments were identical in all respects, being the same materials from the same shipper, just two weeks apart.

There is a FedEx plane hub in Memphis.

Perhaps an error, time my issues or weather?..
