In the last few hours we have seen a music festival in Ohio and a bar in Texas with mass casualty events.
This post is a friendly reminder to stay on alert.
For those who are competent with firearms, please carry and protect yourself if you find yourself in a life threatening event. Also for everyone I recommend training and preparation, just owning or carrying a weapon does not mean you have the skills or mindset to respond.

My #1 Rule for Survival is this: Avoid crowds. I don't need ANYTHING from a music festival, an art festival, or any place that attracts large (or even medium) crowds. That's just asking some crazy person to kick off something insane.
EDIT: When I do go out, a Springfield XDs in .45ACP is always with me.
That’s a beast of a carry. I have that same weapon, but don’t carry it as PPP.
Anyway, I’ve had issues with it, so it’s purely my backup. Primary is a Kimber 9mm mini.
Actually, I have a slim frame and I find the Springfield XDs single stack .45ACP quite light and easy to conceal. I would definitely have an issue with a 1911, but the XDs is quite manageable.

Went to an indoor concert last night my hubby got tickets for months ago. We were on one side fairly down in front near an exit. My head was on a swivel most of the night. Luckily, nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Keeping the head on a swivel---OUTSTANDING JOB!!!!!! My wifey gets onto me about when we go "mall shopping"...she always says that my eyes & head never stop moving!!!!!!!! Lessons Learned!!!!!
For a summary of what could happen get and read Kurt Schlichter’s book ‘The Attack’. Easy fast frightening read. Describes how it could all go down nationwide. And makes perfect sense based on what we’ve seen with illegal military age men invading, cartels bringing in drugs and people, being the transport side of it. Add in the arms and ammo and it’s a perfect storm for a 4 day attack.
His ideas on how they would attack and keep the authorities reacting is brilliant. And how we need to react to defend. Many of us are prepped to a certain degree. But this book makes you determine how you’d react and then act. It’s a mindset that needs to be thought through and then put into the decision making queue.

The book is a must read! For everyone including those with war experience. The enemy used brilliant strategy and tactics for most casualty and terror. They live streamed so everyone could see what they were doing. All across the USA.
