Sadly, I don't think that will be possible since every insurance policy has all kinds of stupid rules/copays/cost-sharing/deductible/max-out-of-pocket stuff.
You have to be VERY careful trying to pay with cash, or an alternative method, instead of insurance.
I had a VA disability exam scheduled at a local University hospital by the VES contractor. They gave me paperwork telling the hospital exactly who, and how to bill - specifically saying DO NOT BILL THE VET, ANY INSURANCE, OR THE VA - just the VES contractor. The hospital didn't even bother with the instructions. They billed the VA 5 times, then billed an insurance policy I had a few years ago and was long gone, and they tried to bill me at least 6 times. Even after I called their headquarters twice, the hospital once, and went in person to the hospital to meet with their head billing person - they still kept it up.
They finally stopped when I gave them the paperwork for at least the 6th time, called VES to make them try to fix it again (3rd time), and told them the next letter/bill I get for this I will sue all of them. The bill was pushing $10k for various procedures and numerous x-rays, and labs. By the way - this ordeal went on for over 7 months.
Again - I had NO insurance, for at least 2 years. They also illegally billed me for a co-pay! How can someone have a co-pay if they have no insurance. It's just idiotic.
Had they followed the instructions I gave them, or even just called the phone number to the VES, they would've been paid immediately. My thought is the hospitals have little-to-no idea how to handle anything other than insurance.
Asked once to be informed about the cash price for a mole removal and sat for 45mins waiting for the answer only to leave with none. Yep the industry needs reform like this.
NOW, why is this coming from an Officer of the Current Administration and NOT from Hospitals themselves???? EHHHHH??? Because it is due to the BENJAMENS COMING INTO THE COFFERS...that is ALL!!!!
NOTE: I do believe that this is going to blow the lid off the connection between the hospitals & insurance companies rather quickly, I might add!!!!!!
I hope they show with/without insurance prices.
This. It’s cheaper to be a cash patient sometimes.
That's the route wife and I have gone. For myself, I told medicare B to take a hike.

This yes!! 🙌🏼 If they post this info, the competition would get better, I’d assume.

I honestly don't understand how people that know exactly how evil Western Medicine is can cheer this on like it's a big win.
