The left is a mob of people who want what they think they want, when they think they want it; and instead of accepting and relating to actual observable reality, they simply create a false reality in their mind, like a movie, and then pretend it is the actual truth. They do the same thing with sexuality, race, ICE, illegal aliens, weather, etc.: just say whatever, and then cling to it with the religious fervor of a crusader, insisting it's real. Their mindset is breathtaking in its childishness.

In this way left represents the embodiment of the willfully mindless, uncontrolled, unrestrained, irresponsible id. As such, they possess an 8-year-old's emotional maturity and understanding of major world events. Now the mob's numbers are shrinking severely, as the media that once propped up their delusions is no longer dominant or even relevant.
