The truth..:like the one where you’re not good enough to talk to god yourself to repent for your sins so you have to talk to a guy in a box to do it for you? Where is that in the bible? The problem with religion is that everyone thinks that theirs is the way, but in reality, God wants us to have a personal relationship with him and one that includes more than once a week.
Guess that depends on how ya interpret a couple of passages from the Old Testament…and I could be wrong here, but I don’t think that confessing to an apostle for your sins is anywhere in the New Testament.

The sacrament of confession is biblical. Jesus gave the apostles the authority to forgive sins. And through apostolic succession it lives on.
Confession keeps you accountable. Protestants hide from accountability.
