Even if I don't agree with the individuals political views, or social views, if they marry a us citizen, make EVERY appointment & qualify during those immigration interviews, they should be given citizenship.
Sounds like this clown fooled around & found out.
My ex wife & I were adamant that we make it to every single appointment at least 30 minutes early so there were no possible issues via traffic or any other problem we didn't forsee. It was made clear from day one that immigration didn't mess around & a single problem on our end could split us up. Glad they decided to "go home", as God put an amazing woman in my life & is the best blessing I never deserved.
Ultimately don't mess around with those immigration appointments.
Totally. But the INS engages in a lot of bureaucratic trickery as well. They routinely "lose" files, cancel appointments, etc. I don't know the details of this case, but it should hammer home that point about keeping appointments for anyone paying attention, which is good.
She's from Colombia. Came here on a tourist visa and stayed. Then she married a US citizen.
Tourist visa doesn't exactly shout "I need asylum", does it?
No. It shouts "I want to go to the U.S. without getting a regular visa!"
Kek! I stand corrected 😁
