Although I haven't voiced it before, I describe this internally as, what is described as "normal waking consciousness" as an artificial layer of consciousness - that's like a big cloud of chaos - "addicted to the shindig" and drama/craic - regarding "happenings". What we believe about the world and those in it. Somehow most of us default to this. It's a whole lot of horseshit...
I say this, pursuant to your comment about religion being perverted to the point that nobody knows which way is up or down. Because...if we actually silenced the chaotic monkey chatter long enough - or more precisely, focused our attention away from it long enough, and "dwelled in the temple built without human hands", where "if thine eye be single, your whole body will fill with light" and the fact that the "kingdom of God is within you" is revealed...
In this revelation - in perfect stillness - without thought of any kind - God's presence within us is revealed. Even if you only experience this for a few moments in a lifetime, you realize and KNOW, you are eternal. There is no judgement in regards to any human - they're simply playing a role. When the game is over, they hang up their costume and return to the source. There is no burning in hell. You are able, if only for a few moments, to see through the eyes of Christ with pure love and compassion for everyone & truly, "love your neighbor as yourself" for the first time in your life.
This doesn't require believing anything. It just is. The pure I AM PRESENCE is who you really are... and all this drama - ALL of it - ALL duality of good/bad etc gets consumed in the fire of what is true. As for the current habbenings, most here are on the same lily pad. Although, due to overcrowding some are merely peeking above the water's surface or hanging on by a toe.... but this is totally fine. Absence of fear and judgment is the indicator of more advanced consciousness. Judgment = blame, condemnation, hatred, vengeance, etc. - seeing the "bad guys" getting their due in the court of public opinion. The "bad guys" have generated their own karma and will have to "reap what they sow" - it's universal law. Whether we see it on our TV sets or not is immaterial.
