The company made a post on FB in February

Aterian, which acquired Squatty Potty in 2021, has formally distanced itself from former owner Robert Edwards following his February 2026 indictment on federal charges. Aterian stated that all associations with Edwards ceased in 2021, and he is not a stakeholder or employee. They condemned the allegations and affirmed their commitment to the brand.
