I don’t have much to add to this, but there is definitely one point for anons to be aware of, with our recent Israel-oriented posts…

What they’re doing, if you want to protect the head of The Snake, you have to sacrifice the tails.

Apply that to say, posters on a forum, for example.

He was speaking to two distinct groups , the Herodians and the Pharisees.
Not only that, but Herod, and iirc quite a few Pharisees, were Edomites by that point. Go figure, infiltration. Someone here did a really good post on it a while back (yandexing “ Idumaean site:greatawakening.win” might find it).
Meanwhile, a lot of Pharisees converted and followed Christ, including Paul of course, but theeeenn there were those Edomite Pharisees working to exert power, and collect various fraudulently obtained temple taxes under Color of Law…
Considering that the Temple was very literally the most holy God’s earthly dwelling place at the time, a righteous man might well… I dunno, call them vipers and run them off with a whip.
Part of my purpose of this post, and a lot of my other comments, is trying to get people to understand that there can be two or more opposing groups being referenced by a single label (“When you say, ‘Americans’, surely you aren’t referring to ‘Californians’ as well, right?”), as well as trying to overcome this need people have for there to always be some Judas goat to execute. (“Stupid Ninevahites! I want them ALL to die! Burn harder. Sincerely, Jonah”) Nothing new under the sun.
No interest in doing so with a handshake with 6 anti-Jooooo comments, though, especially not one who didn’t watch the video.
