The subtext here is that Texans might pick Paxton anyway if he (Paxton) declines to drop out as we all know Trump would pick him without the political coercion.
Some would argue we've had one for over a decade... but this is a 2 person runoff election.... November is their next chance to "split" the vote like that.
Trump said he would endorse Cornyn if the save america act passed. Runoff is after Memorial Day. Yes, Paxton did say he would drop out if the save act got passed. Cornyn is up against the wall and about to get pushed over, without Trump endorsement he won’t last. If Paxton is on the ballot in May, he will be the conservatives choice.
