He should have just said he was feeling flamboyant that day. I would turn it around on the accusers: "What does gay sound like?" "oh really? I never noticed. I just accept everyone for who they are." It's not hard.
Exactly! It is their prejudice that makes that a "gay" voice. That's just one of my voices, and you just misgendered me!
