Trump COMPLETELY vindicated imo also; think about potentially 18,000 foreign terrorists inside America (per Joe Kent ?) and any of them could embed at one of our airports / sea ports and load whatever bomb onto a shipping container/18-wheeler and attack us. NO QUESTION IT WAS A TIMELY & EXPEDIENT ACTION.
And that’s the least scary way that Iran could have attacked us with one or more nuclear weapons. A cargo ship right into our port is concerning. Putting that container on an 18 wheeler driven by a Muslim is even more concerning.
This is why I noted that my JP video was not necessarily my opinion. It’s hard to care precisely why we went in there when we know (according to official reports of the past anyway, however accurate those were) that Iran had nuclear capability and was big on shouting “Death to America!”
The motivating "why" is a lot less relevant after that - though not totally. “What comes after?” is still important, but can also be considered secondarily.
Look, you can sooner sell me on overthrowing a tyrannical Muslim government and restoring Persia to the Persians.
I've heard this weapons of mass destruction bullshit drummed so many times it's farcical at this point. "X is weeks away from a nuclear weapon" has become just as much of a meme joke as "I have information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of Hillary Clinton."
I believe it was stated AT THAT TIME that they could have other facilities we were unaware of the existence. But how does them acquiring new material cause mental gymnastics? Or having an unknown stash spot. They were warned ahead from what I understand, to pull out people.
Where there a will, there's a way. To completely discount an actual possibility is not mental gymnastics on my part. There are usually multiple ways on most things.
Of course I’m not arguing that there wasn’t. I’m arguing the optics is very poor esp when you have the dni saying just days prior to hammer execution there weren’t any bombs. Whether they had even more than what was destroyed is definitely possible but we can both agree is a weak argument given the evidence that was presented
It prob doesn’t sound like it but I’m actually on your side. I support the admin no matter what because I have faith however we have a very weak case being presented to explain our behavior and I’m just hoping they can provide better ammo for us trying to explain this to the non believers.
Trump vindicated. @RapidResponse47

“those container(s)”
Yes.

Oh, God there are stupid people in the X comments. Consume only in limited doses.

Now take away Israel’s nukes
Doesn’t that admit that midnight hammer was a failure then ? Or at the very least over hyped?
They admitted to possessing half a ton of 60% upgraded uranium just a month or so ago. From what I've read, there to 90% (bomb grade) is a short step.
Right. Which means that midnight hammer didn’t work?
I'm unaware of a reason why destroying two facilities means they either didn't have nuclear materials elsewhere or were unable to purchase more?
Because that literally was the entire point of the mission. You’re going into Iraq chemical mental gymnastics with that logic
