Abolish the TSA. Make airports liable for any terrorist that gets through their checkpoint. Now all of these TSA agents can get new jobs for the private sector, and we don't have to yield our 4th amendment rights to government agents to fly.
I can remember back in the day when it was actually fun to fly. I agree with abolishing the TSA and making the airports pick up the bill, instead of the taxpayers. We don’t have much more money to give anybody, really.
TSA should adopt the El Al model and FOCUS ON THE PASSENGER, not the baggage and carry ons. Already have a "no fly" list...expand it and get rid of the DEI filters.
Airports are funded by local or state governments too, at least partially, so… taxpayer money. Airlines used to pay for some amount of security, and they operate on very tight margins. It used to be a luxury to take an airplane to travel, flights were out of reach of most ordinary people. Now, you can get airline tickets for a very low prices (compared to the 60s and 70s). Thank the capitalist free market competition system. However, low prices created the problem of thousands of of lowlifes crowding into airports and causing problems. TSA screening stopped the pickpockets and other riffraff from being able to easily cruise through the inner parts of airports. That was the only upside. Unfortunately, there are now just so many travelers in large airports, it’s suffocating. I avoid large ones whenever possible. Small regional airports can easily be regulated by local personnel.
Where are others that are extremely well off? Nobody else offered? Where is someone, something from the left??? Nope! nothing. How very predictable!!! This shows again that we are so unlike the left and their pals - so much better.
I haven't flown since 2011 and that was for work. I have not flown for pleasure since 2002, not because I'm afraid, it's because it's an unpleasant experience all around.
Airports are Federal Property. Set the Airline industry free to own them & pay for them and be liable for terrorism / accidents. Only then can they be free.
