After the death of Robert Mueller, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social: “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I'm glad he's dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

The statement quickly sparked debate across social media, especially on X, where users began circulating accusations about Mueller’s career. Some of these claims reference real events that have been misinterpreted, while others are political opinions or unsupported allegations. Below is a breakdown of the most common claims and what evidence actually shows. 

The Uranium Story: What Actually Happened

One claim circulating online is that Mueller “gave nuclear material to Russia.” This allegation stems from a real event during Mueller’s tenure as FBI director. As part of a nuclear-smuggling investigation, the FBI approved the transfer of a very small sample (about 10 grams) of highly enriched uranium to Russia. The material was used as evidence in a criminal case involving nuclear trafficking. It was part of a controlled law-enforcement operation coordinated with multiple U.S. agencies. Experts note the quantity was extremely small and used for forensic comparison in court, not as a strategic transfer of nuclear material.  Verdict:
