Are We - The Red-Pilled - Still Filing Tax Returns? Honestly, this one red pill is stuck in my throat.
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
Several podcaster influencers that I have watched have Infomercials offering help with tax debts and back taxes, etc. this seems odd to me because they have also said that "the IRS is illegal" and "the IRS is being abolished."
I have no income that requires taxes (disability) but I have now become my 62-year-old sibling's Guardian and according to the court, I have to file her returns. I also am the executor of our brother's estate and I am being told I have to file his tax return.
Just curious... any frens who can help me understand this one gray area - please only provide positive responses. I am in no mood to be beaten up for being naive.
for now we are still getting bent over yes you need to file........
figures. thanks. So, if I don't file -- and in two or three years there is an audit - we will still be bent over? I guess.
We still follow the law, unfortunately it is still the law as illegal and unlawful as it is! DAM!
It’s a risk, they will throw you in jail for missing $5 unless you are a politician
From what I've read, millions do not file, because there is no actually law requiring us to do so. However, if you do file you are entering a contract where fraud and perjury become actionable.
That said, I have never not filed, because I have not done enough research, and do not have the nerve.
Sherry Jackson is a former IRS agent who claims she no longer files. I have head her give some convincing arguments for why you can do it too. She has a book which I have not read, How to Stick It to the IRS
Depends on the income. If your sister has taxable income and doesn't pay during the year, I would think yes. Also Depends on how much that income is. If it's less than the single person standard deduction, then, of course, no, there wouldn't be any taxable income. I don't know about filing taxes after death but it would seem the same would apply as far as how much taxable income, if any. I file to get a partial refund as I am an employee and pay taxes throughout the year. If I were self employed, I wouldn't file again if I hadn't paid in during the year, screw that.
