Interesting thoughts. Something I've never considered. Why go to the moon when we have a larger planet we can mine? No expensive rockets or high potential loss of life. If we mined the sea floor then we will have to develop deep sea mining equipment and with AI being so ubiquitous, the deepnsea machines can be autonomous. Why go to the moon?

I seem to be the only one who doesn't think we ever stopped going to the moon.
I think there's plenty going on up there with bases on the far side, where nobody down here can see anything.
The moon is too valuable a piece of real estate to just let it sit there and wait for the Chinese to take it over.
