I'm not exactly sure who the Templars were, but I would not be surprised if they show themselves at the end (credits).
I'm not exactly sure who the Freemasons are, nor am I sure how many different (and possibly opposed) sects there are, but I'm certain they will show themselves at the end. I'm also pretty certain the Templars and Freemasons are the same entity, though again, I'm not sure how many different (related) groups there are who call (or who have been called) the Freemasons.
I'm not sure where the Freemasons (and/or Templars) really started. Possibly they were Roman or more probably Grecian mystics, or possibly Jewish mystics (Kabbala), or something even older, possibly Scythian/Parthian mystics AKA Zoroastrians.
I've dug pretty deep into the origins, but it is... occulted (hidden). However, I am pretty damn sure that the Freemasons (one sect of that larger group) is the group we call Q, and I am also pretty damn sure they are related to the mystics of one of those groups. The important bit is, they are really all the same group. They hold the same core beliefs, but they adapt the same teachings for different purposes (because by definition, all teachings are adaptable (can be used for different purposes) and the Truth).
Just me saying that is ludicrous however. It doesn't mean anything without the details. I've written thousands of pages on this investigation, though almost all of it unpublished (or little pieces here and there).
The reason I haven't written it all up formally (one of the reasons), is, the Truth might set you free, but it is gonna be a rough pill to swallow for 99% of humanity (even those here).

In other words, the Awakening requires enough information, enough context, for it to even be able to be seen. We have quite a ways to go yet, though I think it won't seem that way at first (things are being revealed exponentially).
I think there's going to be a mini-Awakening. I think the "first" one will be all about the Jews, the child sacrifice, the economic control over the millennia, the spiritual boxes we all fall into, i.e. that there really is a Cabal, they rule the world, and they do it using some really evil methods.
The real big one might take a while though. I think that ones gonna be rough, and I don't think it's going to be for everyone. Eventually everyone will "get it," but I think it will take a generation or two.
