Italy and Poland also refused to help the USA. Italy doesn't allow the USA to use its airspace or airfields for planes flying from the USA to the Middle East and Poland refused to give up anti-air weapons.
Hungary is the only country in Europe that is good, and they have good relations with Russia too.
Italy didn't do it because the US didn't ask with enough time to get parliamentary approval. Pre-existing treaties prevent them from using their bases as transit hubs and even then the Italians still would have said yes if they were given any amount of heads up to work around those treaties.
Poland only has two and they can't spare them. They didn't give any to Ukraine either. When your country only has two anti-air systems responsible for defending your entire airspace you shouldn't be expected to give them up, so that's a completely reasonable response from Poland imo
