Rand is weird. He used to be more libertarian, but then just started to be contrarian. It's like he's just flailing around in the dark over the past decade or so.

Probably. Did he neuter himself, or is he controlled now? He bounces around so much on what he talks about, it could be either.
*Edit: we see democrats use intimidation via threat of violence all the time, and in many cases, their useful idiots mete it out, so I could certainly see Rand having been rendered obsequious.
Looking back I bet he probably deserved it, and only pretended he had no idea why…. I wonder if the guy that beat the shit out of him had young kids he was protecting…
