Rand has never said give Illegals a pathway to citizenship, and he was a co-sponsor of the SAVE America Act. Repeating for those needing:

Conditioned Legalization: In 2013, Paul suggested legalizing undocumented immigrants only after border security is secured and verified by Congress.

Path to Citizenship: He has expressed that after strengthening the border, the 11 million undocumented individuals could be normalized, allowing them to join the workforce, pay taxes, and potentially start on a path to citizenship.

Opposition to Mass Deportation: Paul has opposed using the military for mass deportations.

Recent Focus: As of 2025, he has reiterated that undocumented immigrants who have not committed crimes should be able to stay and work legally without fear of running from the law

That's fair, I stand corrected.

Potentially have a path to citizenship is a bit different than being just given the rights of citizenship with none of the responsibilities, which is essentially being done in some blue states, like California.
